Composite Games - Business Update

Hi Guys,

It’s been a while since our last post and a lot of things have been moving in the background.

Today's blog post is going to be a bumper edition, however we wanted to start by addressing the current state of play with our store move, Games Workshop delays and our standing orders.

So firstly, we would like to address the recent delivery delays that some of our customers have experienced and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. At Composite Games, we understand how important it is for you to receive your orders in a timely manner, and we deeply regret falling short of your expectations.

The unforeseen delays in delivery were due to several key factors such as an unexpectedly high volume of specific items, disruptions in the logistical network with Games Workshop and the challenges of moving to our new trading location.. These circumstances led to a backlog that me and the team have been working tirelessly to resolve.

We understand that efficient and responsive customer service is equally important when it comes to addressing concerns and providing updates. However I need to acknowledge that some customers have faced difficulties in reaching our customer service team or experienced delays in receiving appropriate responses. We deeply apologize for any frustration this has caused.

To rectify these issues, we have taken immediate steps to improve our delivery process and enhance our customer service experience. Here are some of the measures we have implemented:

Updated our order tracking process: We have revamped our order tracking system to provide more accurate and up-to-date information about the status of your order. You will now receive updates at key stages of the delivery process, keeping you well-informed every step of the way.

Clearer communication channels: We are looking to make it easier for you to reach out to us in and out of our operational hours and our live chat options are now monitored via the digital devices of our team which will help reduce delays in responses.

Streamlined logistics: We have strengthened our partnerships with several suppliers who can trade Games Workshop products which will help us potentially avoid the delay we have encountered with Games Workshop. While we cannot eliminate external factors that may impact delivery times, we are committed to minimizing delays and keeping you informed if any unexpected issues arise.

We want to reassure you that we are committed to resolving any outstanding delays and ensuring that you receive your orders in a timely manner. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and we deeply appreciate your patience during this challenging period.

If you have experienced a delay in receiving your order or refund, we kindly request that you reach out to our customer service team and we will endeavor to complete your enquiry as soon as we can.

Once again, we extend our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience caused by the delivery delays. We value your trust and are committed to learning from these experiences to improve our services for you.

We really appreciate you choosing Composite Games and truly appreciate your understanding and continued support.

Secondly we wanted to make people aware that we are in the process of moving forward with the board games that we have developed, however in order to do this it is necessary for us to take steps to split the sales of Composite Games branded items away from the 3rd party items that we sell.

In order to do this last year we incorporated a second business that will act as a dedicated retail business that will look to build on the community we have as well as developing our strategies into helping minority groups get a stronger foothold in the hobby.

This new company is called Wargaming International Limited and is already handling the lease of the new store.

The transition will potentially take 12-18 months to complete and customers shouldnt experience any significant disruptions while this takes place.

The store will remain branded as Composite Games for the foreseeable future and we have no plans to close the Composite Games webstore, however the handling of the orders will eventually be handled by Wargaming International behind the scenes in order to keep our processes consistent.

If you have any further questions regarding this then please contact us.

Thirdly we are in the final stages of creating a new partnership that will allow us to create Dungeons and Dragons materials for players and DM’s to use in their games.

These items will be available for use via our patreon page and will consist of new art, items, monsters, encounters and unique lore to help add new and exciting ways of building characters and challenging players.

We will let you know as further news becomes available.

And finally we wanted to talk about the work we have been doing around helping neurodivergent and LGBTQ community members find opportunities to play games such as Warhammer and D&D in a safe environment.

Currently we have been running fortnightly sessions for Stride Yorkshire in our store as a means to help their neurodivergent clients with their interpersonal skills and communication.

This has shown positive results and we are now looking to invite other groups into the store in order to help support them.

Alongside this we have teamed up with Game Therapy UK in order for us to research how roleplaying games like D&D and Wargaming games like Warhammer can help support neurodivergent players.

If you are neurodivergent or know someone who is and would like to know how you can be involved then please drop us a line and we can discuss how we can help.

That completes the roundup for today's blog.

We will be revisiting these topics again in the coming week and as always thank you for your continued support.

Take care

Craig
